Following global trends, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technology in Osijek (FERIT) has established the NEW 2 Z Chapter, which will become a hub for education, knowledge exchange, and networking for all young enthusiasts of IBM Z technology.

Such communities exist worldwide and are founded by young professionals to serve as a permanent place for networking and support those who decide to pursue a career in Mainframe.

Workshops and lectures will be organized throughout the Chapter, and local and international experts will share their experiences with students and young professionals who want to expand their skills and understanding of the technologies that drive the global economy. Members will also have access to exclusive materials, conferences, and seminars, providing them the opportunity to follow global trends, develop new competencies, and connect with industry-leading experts.

The initiators already have ambitious plans, such as attending the Mighty Mainframe conference in May, visiting the Data Center in Budapest, and hosting some of the leading mainframe experts in Osijek. So, if you’re interested in Mainframe, don’t hesitate – simply join the Discord channel.
